To highlight the University’s achievements and commitment to social responsibility and sustainable development, IPAO hosted an online briefing session on the 2026 Times Higher Education Impact Rankings exercise on 2 June.

Over a hundred academic staff and administrative colleagues attended the session, where IPAO representatives provided a comprehensive overview of the Impact Rankings and the data collection requirements. With the collective efforts of the PolyU community, including faculties, schools, as well as academic and non-academic departments, the gathered evidence will be invaluable in assessing PolyU’s performance in achieving the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals, in four broad areas: research, teaching, outreach and governance.
