Peach Blossom Trees Recycling

Festive decorations like peach blossom trees were commonly abandoned to the rubbish stations when the Chinese Lunar New Year was over. In order to address this and to arouse public awareness on waste reduction and clean recycling during this festive occasion, the Environmental Protection Department launched the Peach Blossom Trees Recycling Programme. The programme encouraged members of the public, commercial and industrial organizations, property management companies and cleansing companies help to reduce waste and save resources. They were invited to deliver their unwanted peach blossom trees to over 40 dedicated collection points.
