This workshop, led by Carmen Law and Anthony Ho from EDC, focused on using AI to enhance flipped classroom teaching through the HeyGen platform.
Participants were introduced to the process of creating personalised “digital twins” for video lessons and learned how to integrate these avatars into PowerPoint presentations to make teaching more dynamic and engaging. The workshop also showcased HeyGen’s ability to convert videos between languages with realistic lip-syncing, making content more accessible for students from different backgrounds.
During the hands-on session, attendees practised these techniques and discussed practical applications for their own teaching. The event concluded with a Q&A, equipping educators with new skills and resources to boost student engagement and streamline course preparation.
