The rise of Virtual Teaching and Learning (VTL) has shifted and will continue to transform the educational landscape. We are in the middle of a paradigm shift in education. The quality and design of VTL will help shape the future of education.

This talk presents the importance and benefits of adapting our classes to involve some forms of VTL. With a particular focus on two VTL projects from the School of Design, namely, the Bite-Size VTL Platform and the Unfold Your Hidden Talent project.

Bite-Size VTL is the formation of a grassroots community online sharing platform. The intention of this platform is for PolyU Educators to upload and view short videos in which teachers share tips and or techniques for VTL.

The Unfold Your Hidden Talent project is an innovative academic initiative to cultivate motivation and a sense of belonging among students. By recognizing the importance of rewards and recognition, the project showcases students' work online and encourages their participation in competitions.

This initiative highlights the significance of integrating students' passions into their educational experiences, ultimately promoting lifelong learning and personal growth.
