Come to this seminar to see some self-access learning materials produced about 11 multimodal genres, which are increasingly used in university assessment and for other purposes. Students can use a combination of text, images, audio and video to convey and discuss ideas; while teachers can use multimodality to enhance student learning by catering to different learning styles, making complex concepts easier to understand. The seminar is organised by a three-university English Across the Curriculum project team, and is part of a Roadshow to all three universities.

If you are interested in integrating multimodal approaches into your teaching practices, this workshop will help you know more about:

  • the value of multimodal communication
  • 11 multimodal genres for study and work
  • a platform with self-learning modules

Step-by-step guides, practical tips and samples are provided to help you and your students to master these multimodal forms.
