The world is deviating from the intended course as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 target approaches, with little more than four years to go. The environmental, social, political, and economic spheres are becoming increasingly fragmented. A fundamental change in human consciousness, from a mechanistic to an ecological worldview, is necessary to address the sustainability crisis in integral ecology, going beyond technocratic and anthropocentric approaches. Universities, especially business schools, must accept their responsibility to promote this transformation at this pivotal moment. Based on the author's two decades of experience, this presentation examines how responsible management education can progress from ‘Learning to Know’ to ‘Learning to Be’, pointing the way toward peace and prosperity after 2030 based on human flourishing.
