Facilitator: Dawn Lo, EDC
Date: 18 Dec 2023
Time: 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
Venue: TU411 and Online via Zoom
The rapid development of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) has had a dramatic effect on language learning, teaching and assessment. GenAI can help students with language tasks, but it can also pose dilemmas for teachers as to whether to accept assignments that may have been produced by GenAI and not by the learners themselves. How have these issues been addressed by teachers in Semester 1 2023, the first semester that teachers and students have had both guidelines on GenAI use and access to GenAI applications provided by the University?
Join this workshop to explore new approaches and exchange your experiences in navigating the challenges and opportunities of GenAI in assessments for Language Learning and the Humanities.
