Advance HE is a national body in the United Kingdom committed to the improvement of higher education. It awards four different categories of Fellowship: Associate Fellowship (AFHEA), Fellowship (FHEA), Senior Fellowship (SFHEA) and Principal Fellowship (PFHEA), which provides individual teachers with professional recognition for the quality of their practice, impact and leadership in teaching and learning in higher education. These fellowships are awarded based on the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) developed by the Higher Education sector in the United Kingdom in 2011. The UKPSF has become a globally recognised framework for benchmarking success within higher education teaching and learning. There are now over 165,000 fellows across the world.
PolyU has launched a subsidy scheme to support teachers to apply for Advance HE Fellowship.
