e-Assessment@PolyU – Practical experience with Lockdown Browser

Is grading your students' work weighing you down? Are you always dreading assessments like your own students? Do you want to find e-assessment solutions that will help you grade faster and give more feedback to students? If you've answered yes to some of these questions, then please come join our Community of Practice (CoP) on "e-Assessment and Grading" called e-Assessment@PolyU. In this CoP, we will explore topics such as technology to enhance feedback on student assessments; e-tools to help deliver assessment back to students expeditiously; issues of assessment in large classes; solutions to plagiarism in homework in different disciplines; assessments that will increase interaction and engagement among students and instructors; and methods of assessments in SPOCs and MOOCs to reduce "surface learning approach" to assessments and to increase the interaction and feedback for these SPOC and MOOC assessments. More topics will be discussed according to CoP members’ interest. Come join us in our first introductory meeting (detailed below) to start remedying your "assessment and grading blues" and to share your experiences.

*This activity is jointly organised by EDC and the CoP on Technology-enhanced Teaching and Learning.
