Expand your Blended and Online Learning and Teaching toolkit with BOLT: Designing Blended Learning. Through engaging videos, collaborative activities and more, our Small Private Online Course (SPOC) takes you through the essentials of synchronous and asynchronous online learning, which will be critical to the success of your blended approach.

Over six units, you will work towards producing a Learning Innovation Plan (LIP) in which you design a teaching and learning innovation that harnesses a blended approach. You will receive personalised feedback from our course tutors to help with your learning design and support from our case study video series, in which a colleague works though his learning innovation with the support of the BOLT team.

By the end of BOLT: Designing Blended Learning you will be able to:

  • describe a blended approach to learning and teaching
  • critically evaluate a blended approach and appropriate techniques and tools
  • apply a blended approach, techniques and tools to your own teaching and learning context.
