World congress fosters development of biomedical engineering

The World Congress on Bioengineering 2009 (26-29 July), hosted by PolyU’s Department of Health Technology and Informatics in collaboration with the World Association for Chinese Biomedical Engineers, attracted an audience of 400 to the University campus. According to Prof. Arthur Mak, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, also Associate Vice President of PolyU and Chair Professor of Rehabilitation Engineering, the biennial Congress has provided an excellent platform for biomedical engineers, health care practitioners and industry players from around the world to share their experiences and exchange views on the future development of biomedical engineering.
