The University recently staged the fifth PolyU Innovation and Entrepreneurship Global Student Challenge which had attracted over 250 submissions from around the world. 40 shortlisted teams consisting of 150 contestants from 22 countries and regions travelled to Hong Kong for the semi-final and final competition. The year-long anniversary celebrations will culminate by the end of 2017, with the Open Day on 2-3 December showcasing the University’s development and achievements. Another much-anticipated event is the PolyU 80th Anniversary Celebration Dinner on 7 December, which promises to be a joyous occasion uniting PolyU members, friends and alumni from different class years.
