PolyU has kicked off the Global Leader Lecture Series on 15 February with a lecture titled “Vaccine Development during the Ebola Public Health Emergency”, delivered by Dr Marie-Paule Kieny, Assistant Director-General, Health Systems and Innovation, of the World Health Organization.

2月15日，世界衞生組織的衞生系統與創新助理總幹事Marie-Paule Kieny博士以「在伊波拉病毒疫症期間開發疫苗」為題發表演講，為環球領袖講座系列揭開序幕。

On 14 March, the University has also launched The D. H. Chen Foundation Nobel Laureate Lecture Series. The first lecture is presented by Professor Randy W. Schekman, 2013 Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine, titled "RNA sorting and packaging in extracellular vesicles secreted by mammalian cells".

另外，理大亦於3月14日為陳廷驊基金會「諾貝爾獎學人講座系列」揭開序幕，首場講座由2013年諾貝爾生理學或醫學獎得主Randy W. Schekman教授主持，題為「哺乳細胞外泌體中RNA分子的分選和包裝」。

PolyU launches online presented channels

理大推出網上專區

Two dedicated online channels celebrating PolyU’s 80 years of rich heritage and accomplishments are launched on SCMP.com and Master-insight.com respectively. The channels feature stories of PolyU’s achievements and development, as well as interviews with PolyU members.

理大在南華早報與灼見名家網站分別設立理大專區，分享大學在過去八十年的輝煌成就及發展，並刊載理大成員的訪問。

Amazing flash mob celebrates the University’s 80th Anniversary

「生日歌」快閃賀大學八十周年

On 24 March, the PolyU Orchestra wowed the crowd on campus with a specially organised flash mob performance. Led by conductor Mr Leung Kin-fung, the Orchestra performed a variation on the traditional melody “Happy Birthday to You”. It was wonderful!

PolyU will join hands with Zhejiang University to host the International Summit on Belt and Road Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Hangzhou on 22 April. The Summit will serve as a platform for eminent scholars and leaders of different disciplines to exchange ideas and share insights on topics related to the Belt and Road Initiative. Details
