A meeting between TRS project members and ARUP Dr. Xiao-Ye Yu

On the afternoon of 14 Jan 2026, Dr. Yue Dong, Dr. Xiu-Yu Chen, Mr. Hang Du, Mr. Zi-Xuan Zeng, and Mr. Xin-Yuan Liu visited Arup and held a meeting with Dr. Xiao-Ye Yu on research related to high-rise buildings. Mr. Hang Du presented a case study of the Shenzhen Galaxy Twin Towers, introducing a coupled WRF and LES approach for evaluating wind loads and wind-induced responses of high-rise buildings. Dr. Yue Dong introduced a digital twin framework for building clusters, covering automated building geometry modeling, local wind field prediction, and wind speed time history analysis. The discussion also covered topics including the simplification of building-cluster models in Hong Kong, Hong Kong bridge wind resistant design codes, and LiDAR data analysis.
