Enter the following website http://www.polyu.edu.hk/study and click the “on-line application” button on the page2. Input your JUPAS application number as your 'Account Name' and your HKIDcard number including alphabets and digit/alphabet in bracket (case sensitive) as your 'Password'3. Check the interview/test schedule under the 'Details' column.

 

The three guest speakers from the Buildings Department (Sr Wendy Leung, Sr Hazel Tee and Sr Kurt Chik) was jointly invited by the two organizers to deliver a technical seminar entitled "Introduction to Registration of Contractors under the Buildings Ordinance and Minor Works Control System" at 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm on Tuesday, 10 July 2018 at lecture room HJ-305, PolyU campus. Sr Wendy Leung is Senior Professional Officer / Registration, Sr Hazel Tee is Building Surveyor / Registration and Sr Kurt Chik is Building Surveyor / Minor Works, of the Buildings Department.

 

The 120 registered participants of the seminar consisted of the members of HKICM, HKIPM, CIOB(HK), and HKCA, and previous graduates and current students of BRE, together with some other industrial practitioners and friends.

 

The first two guest speakers (Sr Wendy Leung and Sr Hazel Tee) briefly introduced the registration procedures and statutory requirements of Registered Contractors under the Buildings Ordinance, together with common mistakes during submission and e-submissions. The last guest speaker (Sr Kurt Chik) fully explained the statutory requirements, submission procedures, common minor works items under the Minor Works Control System and common mistakes during submission.

 

The seminar was very informative, clearly presented and thought-provoking. It was well received by 120 show-up attendees with attendance rate of 100%. The seminar ended with some interesting questions from the audience and insightful answers from the guest speakers.
