PhD Position in Statistics and Data Science
We are looking for motivated PhD students with strong mathematical background to join our research group at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Successful candidates will work on cutting-edge research problems in statistics, machine learning, and data science.
Research Areas
- Statistical learning theory
- Ranking and preference modeling
- Reinforcement learning
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields
- Strong mathematical background with excellent grades
- Programming experience (Python, R, or MATLAB)
- Interest in theoretical and applied research
- Good communication skills in English
Note: Undergraduate students majoring in mathematics or statistics are highly encouraged to apply.

Financial Support
