LeFrench GourMay

Tasting Rhone Valley Wines

As part of the LeFrench GourMay, the Food and Wine Academy is proud to present wines from this year's theme region - Rhone Valley.

Critically acclaimed, Rhone Valley produces easygoing wines and makes all wine lovers happy, from occasional drinkers to specialists with refined palates.

The Rhone Valley is a key wine-producing region in the south-east of France. Second bigger vineyard of AOC in France, Rhone Valley wines showed a remarkable commercial dynamism. The Côtes du Rhône wines are exported towards more than 145 countries in the world.

In the northern part, the vines benefit from a semi-continental climate, where the Syrah grape variety is at its best. These wines are superb with elegance and subtleness.

In the southern part, the climate is Mediterranean. These wines are “blended wines” with a majority of Grenache associated with Syrah and Mourvèdre. Thanks to an exceptional sunny climate, these wines are particularly generous, with fruity and spicy aromas.

We have great pleasure introducing Northern and Southern Rhone wines sponsored by InterRhone.

Enjoy our special wine tasting experience!
