Multifarious Activities Held by the Self-learning Unit of the Chinese Language Centre

Events

With an aim to support students learning by providing a range of activities with Chinese Language focus, various events were successfully held by the Self-learning Unit (SLU) in the first half of 2023.

Hosted by experienced teachers from the Chinese Language Centre (CLC), different activities were organised for both students and teachers. For example, “Sharing Session of PSC Examiner II” by Ms Karen Lau was specifically designed for teachers who have an interest in being a PSC examiner.

“Spring Festival Event-Spring couplets (For non-Chinese speaking students)”, “The Common Logic Errors with Argumentative Essays”, “Generalization Skills and Chinese Expressions: Taking an Abstract and Sub-headings in Academic Writing as Examples”, “Introduction of PSC and PSK”, and “Calamity, Culture, and Literature: Haruki Murakami's Underground” were held for students from PolyU. The SLU team has been delighted that students took part in these workshops and talks. Through the above activities, SLU has promoted the Chinese language and culture, brought new knowledge and insights to participants.
