The 2008 Beijing Olympics and 512 Sichuan earthquake have excited the hearts and caught much attention of members of the PolyU community. This issue features how the University contributes its expertise to help athletes of the national team and worldwide in the sporting event, and how it makes efforts to help rebuild the quake-shattered province. Other special stories include the receipt of an invaluable anniversary present from Premier Wen Jiabao, and the appointment of the new University president.
