Students show strong business acumen in HSBC contest

Two teams of students from the Faculty of Business (FB) scored the silver and bronze awards of the Hong Kong finals of the HSBC Young Entrepreneur Awards 2009-10.

The Department of Management and Marketing team, with Ip King-him as leader, Lau Pui-shan and Sin Wai-han as members, won the silver award for their innovative business plan for promoting their product series named Bio-Cutlery.

The bronze award went to the School of Accounting and Finance team, with Tang Wai-lam as leader, Cheung Yuk-han and Li Man-wai as members. They had developed a business plan for promoting Fun Gum, a new chewing gum which can minimize calories intake and is available in different textures and tastes.
