Students win grand award in mobile film festival

PolyU teams dominate at student project competition

Students show strong business acumen in HSBC contest

At the presentation ceremony of the third Hong Kong Mobile Film Festival, five students from the School of Design: Ho Tsz-lam, Sham Ching-man, Sze Chun-lun, Tang Yi-ka and Tse Mei-si, were presented the Grand Award for their entry entitled “Alien Duncan”.

The film was produced in collaboration with Christian Family Service Centre under the Zero Toxin Teen Project, which aimed to promote the importance of communication in addressing the problem of drug abuse among teenagers.

Representing teenagers nowadays, Duncan, the character in the film, always felt being misunderstood. With the help of others, the communication barriers were broken down and he was saved eventually.
