Paris Chi-chuen Lau åŠ‰č‡Ščƒ got his PhD from the University of London (2001) and studied at the Institute for World Literature at Harvard and Peking University (2011). He earned a licentiate diploma in violin performance from the Trinity College of Music, London (LTCL 1994) and was a part-time performer at the Music Office of Hong Kong (1998-2000). He had been head and senior lecturer at the English Department of Shue Yan College (1996-97) and Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa (2003-04). He has translated into Chinese Christopher Norris's Deconstruction: Theory and Practice (1995), Linda Hutcheon's The Politics of Postmodernism (1996) and Bill Ashcroft et al's The Empire Writes Back (1998). He has been presenting and publishing research papers in Singapore, USA, Russia, Slovenia, Macau, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China.
