Background
Riding on the success of the previous 4 conferences respectively held in 1994 (Hangzhou), 1997 (Hong Kong), 2003 (Taipei) and 2007 (Hangzhou), the 5th Cross-strait Conference on Structural and Geotechnical Engineering will be held from 13 to 15 July, 2011 at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. This large-scale event, organized by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and co-organized by Zhejiang University and National Taiwan University, is intended to provide a platform for structural and geotechnical engineering professionals and academia from the Chinese mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau to further academic exchanges and cooperation, and to review trends in academic development and engineering application. |
