International Women's Day Gathering
The Women in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (WiEEE) Gathering was organized by the WiEEE Committee in the Undergraduate Teaching Laboratory on 8 March 2025. The event gathered more than 50 female undergraduate and postgraduate students, academic staff, and alumni to celebrate International Women’s Day. The participants were welcomed by Prof. C.Y. Chung, Head of the EEE Department. Ms Ziwen Pan, BEng Scheme in Electrical Engineering student and President of the WiEEE Committee, and Mr Karlen Shek, EEE alumnus and IET member, delivered speeches to share the vision of WiEEE and to encourage the students to develop their careers in engineering.
WiEEE All-Girls Beach Day
On May 11th, the WiEEE Club hosted a relaxing, care-free day trip to Silvermine Bay Beach. A group of students enjoyed a perfect getaway of sunbathing, picnics, and games in the summer sunshine. The flexible, girls-only event was a wonderful opportunity to unwind, connect, and embrace a carefree P-personality vibe by the sea. It was a fantastic day of pure fun and freedom after exam season.
