陳立新博士

簡歷

陳立新博士是香港和英國的註冊物理治療師,在長者復康方面擁有超過10年的臨床經驗。他獲頒何善衡獎學金,以支持其在香港中文大學內科及治療學系老年病學系攻讀博士學位。 他也曾於不同專上院校擔任多個教職,並於2019年成為香港理工大學康復科學系助理教授。 

陳博士的最新研究興趣集中在健康長者和有認知障礙的長者的預防跌倒、老年復康以及運動治療。 他進行了多項測量研究,以評估患有認知障礙症長者體能測試的可靠性和有效性。他進行了幾項隨機對照試驗,研究不同運動治療計劃對健康長者和患有認知障礙症的長者身體功能和跌倒的影響。他也進行了許多可行性研究和對照試驗,評估自我管理和社區復康計劃對慢性病患者的影響。 

陳博士獲得了許多內部和外部具競爭性的研究資助,包括健康和醫學研究基金 (Health and Medical Research Fund) 和普通研究基金 (General Research Fund),以支持他研究如何提高認知障症患者的健康評估的一致性和準確性,以及改善認知障症患者的身體和認知功能。他的研究結果已在多個國際會議和研討會上分享和展示。他也擔任Australasian Journal on Ageing的副主編。 

作為臨床研究人員和老年專科的物理治療師,陳博士期望貢獻前線,以將研究成果轉化成日常臨床應用為目標。
