Located on Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour, West Kowloon Cultural District is one of the largest cultural projects in the world. With a complex of theatres, performance spaces and museums, West Kowloon Cultural District will produce and host world-class exhibitions, performances and cultural events, as well as provide 23 hectares of public open space, including a two-kilometre waterfront promenade. Xiqu Centre, the Art Park with Freespace, M+, Hong Kong Palace Museum, and the Lyric Theatre Complex are the first few planned facilities to be opened for public enjoyment in the coming years.

Speaker’s Biography
Dr. Henry Tang is the Chairman of the Board of West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA), a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the Chairman of Federation of HK Jiangsu Community Organizations. 
Dr. Tang served as a member of the Legislative Council for seven years from 1991, and a member of Executive Council from 1997 – 2011.  In 2002, he was appointed as the Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology.  He was then promoted as the Financial Secretary in 2003, and as the Chief Secretary for Administration in 2007 - 2011.
