Biography
Dr Arkers Wong is currently working as an Assistant Professor in School of Nursing, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has extensive experience in emergency nursing, nursing education and research. Dr Wong has obtained several international and local teaching and research awards including QS Stars-Wharton Reimagine Education Awards, Faculty Team Award for Outstanding Performance in Teaching, the School of Nursing Teaching Prize (Individual), Faculty Distinguished Thesis Award, and Best Research Paper Award. He also serves as board member of the Hong Kong College of Education and Research in Nursing (HKCERN), Hong Kong Jockey Club Innovative Learning Centre for Medicine (HKJCILCM), Pi Lota Chapter, and Nursing Council of Hong Kong. His research interests include telehealth, primary health care, and ageing-in-place. In these areas, he has obtained more than HKD$ 13,000,000 funding from external competitive funding sources such as Health and Medical Research Fund and The Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund, The Government of HKSAR. Dr Wong also published numerous articles in some high impact factor journals, which include Age and Ageing (IF: 12.782) and JAMA network (IF: 13.37).
