This article explores the research done by different professors on the effects of social distancing on mental health. The research study revealed that people in low-paid and insecure jobs experienced the feeling of anxiety and depression at a greater level compared to other groups. There is also the feeling of loss after the losing their source of income; other is the loss of schedule and routine as work and childcare got mixed up because of working from home. Lack of face-to-face social interaction lead to the feeling of physical loss to everyone leading to emotional loss: self-worth, motivation, and the meaning of daily life. The government is encouraged to keep providing mental health support during the period of social distancing to prevent devastating and lasting impact of social distancing on mental health.
