Biography

Dr Aria Yang is a practice-based design researcher with over 15 years of industrial experience in architecture, urban design and design research. Formerly educated in the UK, Italy and Taiwan, she has recently completed a full-time PhD with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research focuses on the design of the physical environment through the lens of an integrated medical and social model of care. Her research methodology is guided by the design framework CHAMPS which was developed during her doctoral studies. Some of the research methods include participatory action research and tracking technologies. Dr Yang conducts interdisciplinary research projects with diverse stakeholders to drive innovation and create positive change in the community.
