Poster Exhibition: SD5009 Research and Academic Writing

Research and Academic Writing (SD5009) presents 12 selected posters. SD5009 is a 7-week, Compulsory Common subject attended by all Master of Design (MDes) students. The presentation of students' academic outcome in a poster format is meant to engage meaningful discussions at PolyU Design.

SD5009 provides students with the necessary approaches of different types of academic writing and its application to explicate designers' ideas and curiosity. During the course, MDes students learnt how to organise research context, identify research problems, formulate research questions, and design research processes. They materialised a design study through text and editorial processes into a research proposal and further transformed the proposal, supplemented with visual components, into a poster for this presentation. Presented here are the posters nominated by the course instructors, Dr Jaden Park, Dr Eun Yeong Choe, Dr Jen Lee, and Mohana Das.
