Sally S. Y. Leung
The relationship and the interaction between people and technologies stimulate my thinking.
I am interested in investigating how interactions come about ontologically and how behaviours change. During my undergraduate studies at PolyU School of Design, I further developed my research methods and concepts in user experience. I gained a deeper understanding of anthropology through various user research journeys. I also developed a strong interest in adopting a systematic approach to mapping and examining different interactive elements integratively.

In the future, I would like to continue my academic research related to human, technology and society. In a data-driven era, "intelligent systems" is a far-sighted field of study that could bring many benefits to people and our environment if developed with ethical processes. When "intelligent", "systems", and "design" come together, there will be holistic data-driven services and a paradigm shift, whether they are in our daily lives or the value chains of all professions. In the era of Industry 4.0, the technological components must be well distributed and arranged to create a complete system. ISD and I share the same vision, so I look forward to gaining further insights.
