Meet the Fellows
Liz H. S. Tsui
I have over 10 years of work experience in different lingerie brands. I am now working in a German brand under a leading lingerie manufacturer. I was promoted to Design Manager 5 years ago, a role that has allowed me to gain extensive branding and leadership experience. Our design team works well together with the marketing team as we have successfully repositioned our brand from a commodity brand to a leading fashion-forward brand in just 3 years.

As a Design Manager, my responsibility is to make contributions to upgrade the product design and maintain the assortment in a healthy balance, creatively and commercially. In recent three years, I have had the opportunity to participate in (and learn) how to strategically market our brand as well as the products to enhance our brand image and to expand the target market. This experience allows me to gain basic knowledge of brand-building strategies and makes me aware of the importance of design strategy, brand image and effective marketing strategies work together to grow, nurture and sustain a brand. I have become interested in this area of study at the graduate level and see it as a direction to grow professionally. This challenge, in conjunction with my current responsibility, has helped me to realize that, in the long term, my ultimate goal is to become a Head of Design in a lingerie brand and work towards enhancing brand awareness and market share with design, marketing, and business perspectives. I believe studying this Master of Design (Design Strategies) programme would provide me with the necessary tools to shape and develop my future career. And I believe this Fellowship would put me on the right path to achieving my professional goals.
