Break the Silence: Territory-wide Study on Sexual Harassment of University Students in Hong Kong
Co-organized by Dean of Students Office and The Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC), “Break the Silence: Territory-wide Study on Sexual Harassment of University Students in Hong Kong” was held for PolyU students and staff on 29 October 2019. Speakers from the EOC, Senior Policy, Research and Training Officer Miss Kitty Lam and Policy, Research and Training Officer Mr James Chan, shared key findings from the research conducted by EOC. The presentation not only included the definitions and case studies of sexual harassment, but also provided tips for audiences on how to handle the situation when encountering sexual harassment. In the Q&A session, the audiences got more advice on how to stop sexual harassment in specific situations at the University as well as where to get help. The talk was brought to an end with a group photo of speakers and audiences.
