This summer, around 1,400 PolyU students applied for PolyU offshore WIE programmes that covered more than 30 locations worldwide. On 15 May 2019, the WIE Kick-off Ceremony 2019 was successfully held in the Jockey Club Innovation Tower. Around 450 students participated in this event. Concurrently, PolyU also organised eight WIE Pre-departure Training sessions and Teambuilding Games on that day.
WIE Pre-departure Training
PolyU organised WIE Pre-departure Training sessions to arouse the WIE participants' awaress of the importance of safety and adaptability when travelling and working overseas.
WIE Kick-off Ceremony
Dean of Students Prof. Esmond MOK was the Guest of Honour who officiated the Ceremony.
Teambuilding Games
In order to strengthen the WIE participants' teamwork spirit, PolyU arranged teambuilding games for the students. Congratulations to the International Team, winner of the "Best Slogan Award" as well as the "Best Team Award".
