PolyU organised a networking lunch for about 40 international inbound students who worked as interns on PolyU campus through the IAESTE programme, International University Partnership programme, and Taiwan programme. Hosted by 10 of the university's departments, the interns came from 16 locations namely Austria, Canada, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, and the UK.
The hosting departments, which were mainly engineering-related, were the Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering (AAE), Applied Biology and Chemical Technology (ABCT), Applied Mathematics (AMA), Applied Physics (AP), Biomedical Engineering (BME), Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Electronic and Information Engineering (EIE), Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE), and Mechanical Engineering (ME).
