鄭茘英教授

簡歷

鄭教授現任康復治療科學系教授。她乃香港物理治療專科學院的創院院士。鄭教授主要研究方向為糖尿病併發症和疼痛治療成效。她獲得多項關於糖尿病研究基金的經費,主要研究糖尿病的各種併發症,包括糖尿病之周邊神經病變,糖尿病足部潰瘍,和糖尿病相關的認知障礙,應用新科技作評估和治療。相關研究工作包括用動物作基礎研究和相關的臨床研究。

另一方面,鄭教授亦致力研究用物理治療對痛症的成效,以及了解物理治療的鎮痛機制。重點為評估物理各種治療機及運動對痛症(如慢性腰痛、膝關節骨質性關節炎、由糖尿病或手術引發的疼痛)之效用,以及評估病人心理社交等因素對治療疼症的影響。

鄭教授致力發表科研文章,並擔任多個研究基金評審委員會成員,及擔任《Journal of Orthopaedics & Sports Physical Therapy》編審委會員成員。鄭教授亦擔任多個專業團體或政府的諮詢委員會成員,包括伊利沙伯醫院醫院管治委員會成員,香港物理治療師管理委員會成員等,同時也是《香港疼痛基金會》副主席。
