郑茘英教授

简历

郑教授现任康复治疗科学系教授。她乃香港物理治疗专科学院的创院院士。郑教授主要研究方向为糖尿病并发症和疼痛治疗成效。她获得多项关于糖尿病研究基金的经费,主要研究糖尿病的各种并发症,包括糖尿病之周边神经病变,糖尿病足部溃疡,和糖尿病相关的认知障碍,应用新科技作评估和治疗。相关研究工作包括用动物作基础研究和相关的临床研究。

另一方面,郑教授亦致力研究用物理治疗对痛症的成效,以及了解物理治疗的镇痛机制。重点为评估物理各种治疗机及运动对痛症(如慢性腰痛、膝关节骨质性关节炎、由糖尿病或手术引发的疼痛)之效用,以及评估病人心理社交等因素对治疗疼症的影响。

郑教授致力发表科研文章,并担任多个研究基金评审委员会成员,及担任《Journal of Orthopaedics & Sports Physical Therapy》编审委会员成员。郑教授亦担任多个专业团体或政府的谘询委员会成员,包括伊利沙伯医院医院管治委员会成员,香港物理治疗师管理委员会成员等,同时也是《香港疼痛基金会》副主席。
