简历

陈立新博士是香港和英国的注册物理治疗师,在长者复康方面拥有超过10年的临床经验。他获颁何善衡奖学金,以支持其在香港中文大学内科及治疗学系老年病学系攻读博士学位。他也曾于不同专上院校担任多个教职,并于2019年成为香港理工大学康复科学系助理教授。

陈博士的最新研究兴趣集中在健康长者和有认知障碍的长者的预防跌倒、老年复康以及运动治疗。他进行了多项测量研究,以评估患有认知障碍症长者体能测试的可靠性和有效性。他进行了几项随机对照试验,研究不同运动治疗计划对健康长者和患有认知障碍症的长者身体功能和跌倒的影响。他也进行了许多可行性研究和对照试验,评估自我管理和小区复康计划对慢性病患者的影响。

陈博士获得了许多内部和外部具竞争性的研究资助,包括健康和医学研究基金 (Health and Medical Research Fund) 和普通研究基金 (General Research Fund),以支持他研究如何提高认知障症患者的健康评估的一致性和准确性,以及改善认知障症患者的身体和认知功能。 他的研究结果已在多个国际会议和研讨会上分享和展示。他也担任Australasian Journal on Ageing的副主编。

作为临床研究人员和老年专科的物理治疗师,陈博士期望贡献前线,以将研究成果转化成日常临床应用为目标。
