Pacific Coffee X PolyU Souvenir Design Competition 2023 Guidelines
· Theme:
Caffeine Creations: Pacific Coffee X PolyU Souvenir Design Showdown
· Eligibility:
All PolyU staff and students
· Souvenir Categories:
Participants are encouraged to unleash their creativity, and they are not limited to specific categories. They can submit designs for various types of souvenirs, including but not limited to:
Coffee Cup/Mug Design
T-shirt Design
Tote Bag Design
Phone Case Design
Socks Design
Accessory Design
Blind Box Design
Board Game Design
Any other creative souvenir ideas
· Submission Requirements:
Participants can submit NOT MORE THAN THREE design entries across different categories.
All designs must be presented in one PDF format and submitted digitally in high resolution.
A title and a brief description of the design concept (maximum 200 words) should accompany each design.
Please rename the PDF file name to "PPCxPolyU2023_student/staff ID_design1/2/3".
A 3D mock-up will be a plus, but not necessary. Photos can be attached to the submission PDF files, or please indicate that you would like to submit the original 3D mock-up in the submission email, and we will contact you for the collection.
The maximum size of the file is 20 MB.
Finalists are required to submit the original digital design files (in AI, PS, or other format used).
· Judging Criteria:
Creativity and originality: 30%
Aesthetic appeal: 30%
Feasibility for production: 30%
Alignment with the image of Pacific Coffee: 10%
· Prizes:
Champion: $5,000 cash prize
First Runner-Up: $2,000 cash prize
Second Runner-Up: $1,000 cash prize
Two Merit Awards: $500 cash prize each
Ten Finalists (including winners): $100 Pacific Coffee vouchers each
Designs could potentially be produced as official souvenirs.

Submission Deadline: December 22, 2023
Finalists Announcement: January 19, 2024
Winners Announcement: February 5, 2024
· How to submit:
Submissions should be emailed to ri.cnnm@polyu.edu.hk with the subject line "Pacific Coffee X PolyU Souvenir Design Competition Submission 2023".
Please include the Chinese and English full names, student/staff ID, faculty/school/department, and contact number in the email content.
· Clarification:
By submitting their designs, participants agree to grant Pacific Coffee Shop and PolyU rights to use their designs for the purposes of the competition, exhibition, and production for souvenir and sale.
