About the Challenge

The Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong

Founded in 1934 and with over 3,000 member companies, The Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong (CMA) is one of the most representative industrial associations in Hong Kong.

CMA has spared no efforts in promoting Hong Kong's industrial and trade development by organising diversified activities. Making its debut in 1938, the Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo, organised by CMA, has a history of 78 years and aims to promote Hong Kong brands and products both locally and overseas. Initiated by CMA in 2005, the Hong Kong Brand Development Council is committed to promoting Hong Kong brands, advocating innovation and creativity, and enhancing exchanges and cooperation among companies on branding.

Furthermore, in 1979, CMA established the CMA Testing and Certification Laboratories, a third party quality assurance organisation with worldwide accreditations. The Laboratories provide professional testing, inspection and certification services. As an association that places great emphasis on corporate social responsibility, CMA is also well known for its continued and extensive community services, especially in education. It established the CMA & Donors Scholarship in 1964 and two secondary schools in 1976 and 1985 respectively, in order to nurture young talents.

Looking forward, CMA will steadfastly continue with its efforts to promote the development and prosperity of Hong Kong.
