Professor of Wuhan University, China
Prof. ZHAN is a second-level professor and doctoral supervisor at Wuhan University, holding a Ph.D. from Wageningen University in the Netherlands. He currently serves as the Director of Research Center for Digital City at Wuhan University and holds the positions of Deputy Director of the New Technology Application Committee of the China Urban Planning Society, Council Member of the International Council for Computational Urban Planning and Management (CUPUM), and Review Expert for the National Science and Technology Awards. His primary research focuses on the application of new technologies in urban planning and management. He has led five projects, including the National Science and Technology Support Program and the 863 Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has been awarded the First Prize of the China Geographic Information Science and Technology Progress Award, the Second Prize of the China Urban Planning Society Science and Technology Progress Award twice, and the Second Prize of the National Outstanding Urban Planning and Design Award. He has published eight books and over 360 papers.
