PolyU implemented a two-tier Academic Advising system at the departmental level and the institutional level by the Student Affairs Office (SAO) to help students make informed and intelligent academic decisions about their study, including GUR subjects:
- Academic Advising at the Faculty/Department carried out by Academic Advisors and facilitated by the Undergraduate Secretaries focusing on Major/Minor study and free electives selection.
- Academic Advising at SAO carried out by the Academic Advising Officers focusing on GUR.
