During her undergraduate study at DePaul University, Shuheng experienced first-hand the transformative impact of service-learning from the various projects where she worked with marginalized groups in the diverse neighborhoods of Chicago. She later went on to pursue her Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University to better understand issues of economic development and growth. Before joining SLLO in September, 2020 to work more closely on initiatives that are important to her personally, Shuheng was an Assistant Professor in Xiamen University where she was often recognized for her dedication to teaching in the School of Economics. In her current capacity at SLLO, Shuheng helps plan and implement the promotion of service-learning, as well as conduct quantitative evaluation on related projects and programs.
