The PolyU Marketing Workshop 2025 was successfully held during July 22 – 24, 2025. This year’s workshop featured five distinguished guests, all of whom serve as editors at leading marketing journals. We are deeply grateful for the insights and inspiration they shared with our academic community.
Our esteemed guests (listed alphabetically by last name) were:
- Prof. Rajesh Bagchi, co-editor of the Journal of Consumer Psychology
- Prof. Rebecca Hamilton, editor-in-chief of the Journal of Marketing Research
- Prof. Koen Pauwels, editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Research in Marketing
- Prof. Jan-Benedict Steenkamp, editor-in-chief of the Journal of Marketing
- Prof. Oleg Urminsky, editor-in-chief of the Journal of Consumer Research
The workshop opened on the morning of July 23, with a warm welcome by Ir Prof. Edwin Cheng, Dean of the PolyU Business School, followed by two keynote speeches delivered by our guests. On the morning of July 24, participants attended two research talks and one keynote speech from the guests. The event concluded with closing remarks by Prof. Flora Gu, who extended heartfelt thanks to all our guests, participants, and organizers.
In addition to academic exchange, participants enjoyed immersive networking activities that showcased Hong Kong’s dynamic and diverse cityscape, making the workshop not only intellectually enriching but also culturally engaging.
