聲學與振動研究中心(理大專長研究領域)

聲學與振動研究中心(理大專長研究領域)於2007年成立,前身是由機械工程學系在2001年創立的噪音控制研究中心。聲學與振動研究中心獲得理大正式認可及支持,中心主力在國際間推廣、鞏固理大在多個戰略領域中的卓越研究工作。中心的使命是進行高質量研發,務求配合工業、商業和社會的需求。

  • 中心簡介

    中心的主要目的是通過一個包括香港理工大學、海外研究機構、公共服務企業,本地工業和政府部門的研究網絡,在聲音和振動研究的領域中促進緊密合作,並建立更好的協同效應;協助/影響政府制訂和推行噪音控制政策;及通過積極技術轉讓,提高香港在音響產品設計及生產上的競爭優勢。

    中心的研究活動涵蓋噪音和振動的基礎研究及應用,目的在世界相關研究領域的佔據領先地位,例如環境噪音、計算聲學、氣動聲學、流體誘導振動及噪音、結構振動、結構安全監測及損伤檢測,及振動聲學和主動控制。中心的主要研究活動可總結為(按英文字母順序排列) :

    過去數年,中心著力於研究和諮詢工作,成就獲得同行廣泛認可。超過300份中心發表的論文獲《科學引文索引》收錄。中心亦取得逾50個由不同政府機構提供的資助和贈款,及獲業界委託進行超過100個諮詢項目。

  • 中心宗旨

    聲學與振動研究中心的創辦目的是建立聲音和振動基礎研究與應用的關鍵性機構。中心的具體目標包括:

    1. 開展優質研究和項目開發,以配合工業、商業和社會的需求;
    2. 中心的主要目的是通過一個包括香港理工大學、海外研究機構、公共服務企業,本地工業和政府部門的研究網絡,在聲音和振動研究的領域中促進緊密合作,並建立更好的協同效應;
    3. 向政府/業界/社區提供專業服務,通過開展諮詢項目、舉辦技術工作坊和研討會,及開發工程和科學設備/系統/策略,從而解決聲音、振動、控制,和結構完整性及安全監測方面的問題。
    4. 協助/影響政府制訂和推行噪音控制政策,及通過積極技術轉讓,提高香港在音響產品設計及生產上的競爭優勢。
    5. 利用從研發中獲得的新知識優化研究生/本科生教學。
