Short Description

Dr. A. Vyas received his MPhil in 1998 from The University of Hong Kong (in Physics) and Ph.D. (in Physics) in 2002 from City University of Hong Kong. He then worked at City University of Hong Kong and The Chinese University of Hong Kong at various research positions before he joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in September 2007 as a Lecturer. Currently he is a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Dr. Vyas has research experience in Thin film, Nanocrystalline materials and characterization, High temperature superconductivity. His current research involvement is mainly in hard multilayer coatings and their mechanical & tribological properties. His research interests are also in application of nanomaterials in energy generation and storage
