ME Department sponsored the 3rd International Symposium on Aircraft Airworthiness in France
The 3rd International Symposium on Aircraft Airworthiness (ISAA 2013) was successfully held on November 19-21, 2013 in Toulouse, France. The department of Mechanical Engineering of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University was one of the sponsors to support the event. As a member of the scientific committee and keynote speaker, Prof. L. Cheng delivered his keynote talk on “Acoustic design and noise control inside the aircraft cabin”.
The Symposium was the third one in a series, organized by Ecole Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC France) in collaboration with Civil Aviation University of China and Beihang University and with the partnership of Civil Aviation Administration of China, European Aviation Safety Agency and Direction de la Securite de l’Aviation Civile. Participants include representatives from Airbus, Safran group, OSAC, China Aero-Polytechnology Establishment, Beijing General Aviation, China Helicopter Research and Development Institute, Thales Avionics, SNECMA, AVIC Harbin Aircraft Industry Group, Purdue University, Beihang University and Shanghai Jiaotong University. The symposium aims at bringing together engineers, researchers and practitioners to present the latest accomplishments, innovations and potential future directions in aircraft airworthiness, in order to further promote the exchanges and collaborations between different disciplines and nations.
