The Department of Mechanical Engineering held its annual departmental staff retreat on 6 December 2017. The retreat kicked off with the Head’s introduction and budget issue, this is the outline of the departmental plan for 2018.
Followed by the evaluation of Departmental Review Recommendations in Teaching & Learning and Strategy by the Associate Head, this prompted a dynamic discussion among staff members. Furthermore, relating to research & consultancy benchmarking, an in-depth review was made.
For improving overall performance, possible measures were raised. To enhance departmental publicity effectiveness, various initiatives were proposed.
Over 30 staff members joined the retreat and found it being constructive for the year to come.
