ME Co-organizes Top Tier International Congress on Noise Control Engineering (INTER-NOISE 2017)
The Consortium of Sound and Vibration Research of Department of Mechanical Engineering, PolyU is going to co-organizes the 46th International Congress and Exposition on Noise Control Engineering (INTER-NOISE 2017) with the Hong Kong Institute of Acoustics during August 27–30, 2017, in conjunction with the NVH Branch, Society of Automotive Engineering of China and the Acoustical Society of China.
The organization is made under the auspices of The International Institute of Noise Control Engineering (I–INCE). Founded in 1974, I–INCE is a worldwide consortium of organizations concerned with noise control, acoustics and vibration. The primary focus of the Institute is on unwanted sounds and on vibrations producing such sounds when transduced. I-INCE is the organizer of the INTER-NOISE Series of International Congresses on Noise Control Engineering held annually in leading cities of the world. The theme of INTER-NOISE 2017 is Taming Noise and Moving Quiet with which the organizing committe expects to attract more than 1000 attendees from all over the world. The Congress will provide the best opportunity for engineers and scientists in all fields of acoustics to learn about and share their work with colleagues. More than hundred technical sessions would be arranged for exchange of views and sharing of experience. The Congress venue will be at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) a magnificent, multi-use venue located right in the heart of Hong Kong on its famous Victoria Harbour.
The organization of INTER-NOISE 2017 not only reflects the international professionals’ interest in coming to Hong Kong for sharing and exchange of ideas under the Congress theme but also marks the international recogination of research and professional achievements in noise control, acoustics and vibration of the organizers.
