The IFSPA Executive Board and Organising Committee have announced the postponement of the 11th International Forum on Shipping, Ports, and Airports (IFSPA) to 2022.

Formal Announcement

Dear colleagues and friends,

We would like to inform you that our Committee has made the uneasy decision to postpone the 11th International Forum on Shipping, Ports, and Airports (IFSPA), which was originally scheduled on 29th Nov to 3rd Dec 2021, to 2022.

The travel restrictions and social distancing measures are still imposed in most countries to keep the pandemic at bay. But we could see that the situation is mitigating with vaccination becoming more universalized. Our Committee strongly believes that IFSPA is not merely an occasion for the presentation of research findings, but a precious platform to renew the bondings between the academic and industrial community. This would be difficult to achieve through online tools or virtual conferences. In the hope that travel restrictions and social distancing would be loosened next year, we would like to organize a physical conference to sustain our long mission of social nearing. IFSPA 2022 is going to be a precious community-building event, fostering the integration of scholars, researchers, and practitioners in this rich and diverse field.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all Co-organizers, Supporters, Sponsors, Supporting Organizations, and our friends for your immense support towards this conference so far. Once again, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused under these unforeseen circumstances. Our Conference Secretariat will be in touch with our speakers, registrants, and all stakeholders involved for proper follow-up arrangements.

Thank you again for your understanding and support, and we look forward to seeing you at IFSPA 2022 in Hong Kong. Please feel free to contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for any inquiries.
